About Yvonne Allen

For most of her life, Yvonne Allen has been learning from horses—not only how they move, but how they communicate, recover, protect themselves, build trust and respond when a person takes the time to truly listen.

Her work has grown through decades of hands-on experience in equine wellness, bodywork, rehabilitation, hoof-care awareness, compassionate horsemanship and education. She has worked with horses of many backgrounds, including animals carrying physical discomfort, behavioural challenges, fear, neglect and misunderstood histories.

Through At Ease Equestrian, Yvonne brings together practical experience, professional training and a deeply relational way of working. Her studies and certifications include equine Shiatsu massage, equine sports massage, Healing Touch, equine adjusting, holistic nutrition, homeopathy, Bach Flower Remedies, Reiki and aromatherapy.

Her work considers the whole horse. She pays close attention to movement, balance, muscular tension, the feet and the way the horse carries and uses its body. When appropriate, she also incorporates carefully selected essential oils, always allowing the individual horse to respond and indicate what is comfortable and suitable.

Yvonne's approach is gentle, observant and responsive. Rather than applying one method to every horse, she draws from many facets of care to support the needs of the horse in front of her.

She is also the founder and creative director of Voice for the Horse Music Projects, where her lifelong experience with horses has expanded into original music, films, stories, educational programs and compassionate learning resources for children and adults.

At the heart of all of Yvonne's work is a commitment to helping horses and people move from tension toward understanding, from fear toward trust, and from disconnection toward relationship.
